1978. Gloria is marching. The ERA is 3 votes short. In Philadelphia, fate bumps together five women -and a spunky 12 year old girl- all broke, bruised, and barely holding on. Raised by the Betty Crocker handbook and too underwater to catch a “Women’s Lib” wave, these women turn the lights inside a dusty suburban garage on themselves. Fueled by raw honesty, break downs, clashes and a chance to crumble, they build the kind of friendship that only forms when life punches you in the gut.
Welcome to LaGarage, where the laughs are loud, the truth hurts, the Wild Turkey is gold and you don’t go down without a fight. A 90 minute ride through survival, sisterhood, and holding on when life knocks you down. Inspired by a true story of women of a certain age and one young girl, all coming of age the only way they know how: together.
