Written and performed by Dan Souza, The Big Day is a one man show exploring the biodiversity of Sandy Neck's Salt Marshes.

Through the format on an educational presentation, a salty Cape Codder describes the story of a life-changing day with his wealthy best friend on Sandy Neck Beach. Throughout the journey, he meets fascinating marine organisms, makes bizarre drug-induced realizations, and even has a couple close brushes with God. Along the way, splinters in his closest friendship begin to grow. This is the psychedelic story of two young men having a day in nature, and how the day changes them both forever.
