Who’d Love Lucy?, written by Molly Stern, follows the titular protagonist Lucy, a certified “crazy girl”, as she captivatingly recounts the many heartbreaks that led her to a very sticky and complicated situation. Externalizing her internal conflicts, she struggles to balance her desire to be bold and outspoken with her increasingly desperate need to love and to be loved. Because what is love, really? Lucy confesses the secrets even her best friend doesn’t know to the audience, seeking counsel on her journey as a young woman with a few skeletons in her closet. Who would love a girl with a hit list? Better yet, what audience wouldn’t?
