The Loves of Diego Rivera is two person play about the art and women of Diego Rivera's amazing life. After the funeral of Rivera's wife,the artist Frida Kahlo, Diego arrives to his studio saddened , lost and mortally ill. Rivera is visited by his Mexican conscious and everyman embodied by the popular comic Cantinflas. Rivera recounts his fabulous life about art, politics and women. Through visuals and music the audience will get a very personal perspective of a revoultionary artist that shaped and drove an artistic mural movement that put Mexico on the map. While being a prolific artist in Europe, Mexico and the USA he had wonderful and turbulent relationships with extarordinary women that were as complicated and talented as him. This play is a celebartion of Mexico's greatest visual artist of the 20th century. The Play is performed by Herbert Siguenza from the legendary Chicano group Culture Clash.
