SPLIT BILL: Rudy & Camille and Skin Exam

August 2 at 9:30 PM

Rudy & Camille

Written by Dean Haspiel and Whitney Matheson.

Starring Sharief Johnson, Morgan Lennon and Adam Files.

RUDY & CAMILLE is a psychedelic rom-com that chronicles two office mates who spend most of their time pontificating and pawing at each other -- instead of preventing the impending apocalypse.

Skin Exam

Ezequiel González Camaño as YOUNG MAN

Cornelia Smith as CHIROMANCER, NURSE, COMPANION

A young man must have his skin checked every year for signs of a hereditary melanoma. His body is surveilled and documented by a rotating cast of witnesses: a chiromancer, who discovers a shortened sun line on the young man’s hand; a nurse, who examines the body for signs of abnormalities; and a companion, under interrogation, who must recount identifiable markings on the young man’s skin. Through this series of vignettes, 'SKIN EXAM' provokes a reflection on climate change, grief, and medical surveillance. Its stilted structure underscores the incongruent relationship between sight and feeling, and confronts viewers with an affective crisis — when surveillance fails to ensure safety, how can we learn to understand ourselves?

Rudy & Camille contains sexual content and explicit language, and Skin Exam contains mentions of cancer and death.
