DarkFest 2025
July 21st - July 27th, 2025
For over a decade, The Tank has presented DarkFest, a week-long celebration of performance that challenges our relationship to energy and light. Each show in DarkFest operates without conventional theatrical lighting, inviting artists to explore storytelling in low light, candlelight, flashlight—or no light at all. The result is a striking array of work that asks what is essential in live performance, while embracing sustainability and resourcefulness. DarkFest is a reminder that innovation often begins in the dark.
