OVERFLOW
August 4th, 5th, and 6th
**OVERFLOW** follows the life of a woman with severe personality disorder as she spirals through memories, relationships, emotional extremes, distorted perceptions, and a fragmented sense of reality in a fever dream like reflection of her life. Blurring the line between reality, memory, fantasy, delusion, and hallucination, the work unfolds through a series of fast moving vignettes that mirror the chaos, overstimulation, contradiction, and unpredictability of the mind itself. The audience is pulled through shifting emotional landscapes that move rapidly between intimacy, absurdity, heartbreak, humor, tenderness, discomfort, and emotional collapse.
Combining contemporary dance, groundbreaking theatrics, experimental movement, text, visual art, and immersive staging into one multidisciplinary experience, **OVERFLOW** is intentionally structured to feel disorienting, visceral, and deeply human. The piece balances dark humor with tragedy and beauty with emotional devastation, constantly interrupting itself with sudden tonal shifts and unexpected imagery in a way that reflects the instability and emotional intensity of its central character. Moments of vulnerability are quickly overtaken by chaos, comedy collides with grief, and deeply personal memories dissolve into surreal dreamscapes.
Created with a modern short attention span in mind, the performance moves quickly between worlds, emotions, and physical states, creating the sensation of witnessing fragments of a life rather than a traditional linear narrative. Beneath the chaos, OVERFLOW explores themes of identity, authenticity, self destruction, longing, emotional fragmentation, attachment, perception, and the overwhelming intensity of being alive.
