Phil is a young YouTube conspiracy theorist. He believes a shadowy cabal controls the world through vegetables laced with mind-control drugs. At his concerned mother’s request, a soft-spoken reporter named Jane Vazquez visits Phil and his family, to figure out what prompted Phil’s descent into paranoia. As Jane begins to dig deeper, she becomes increasingly entangled in the family’s lives. I Am the GooseKing asks why normal people believe abnormal things, whose voices deserve to be heard, and how loneliness drives people to desperation.
