A Friday. Late August, 2020. Claire doesn’t work Fridays. She’s been called into the office on her day off to accommodate a 102-year-old Holocaust survivor with a cracked tooth and a love of Wagner. The practice is run by a dentist couple and their dentist son, all named Dr. Meyer. The elder Drs. Meyer are out on the island for the weekend, leaving the jittery young-Dr. Meyer in charge. The phone won’t stop ringing. Everyone keeps asking for Lorna. If a tree falls in the forest and there’s no one around to see it, are you still a woman?

Originally commissioned and developed by Gingold Theatrical Group
David Staller, Founding Artistic Director
Lily Kanter Riopelle, Director of New Works
