Suficiente: a Poetry and Panel Discussion

Suficiente is a short film based on a poem by Regina Romero that follows a Mexican immigrant that takes the stage in front of an imaginary audience and explores the different personas she's had to create to be accepted in American society. Through the distinct stereotypes she’s been forced to inhabit, her real self is revealed. This will be the film's first New York City screening. The short film was awarded second place and the Binational Kaleidoscope Film Festival and screened at the Georgia and Seattle Latino Film Festivals. After the screening, there will be some poetry reading by Martha Preve Ayora and Regina Romero. As well as an industry panel discussion with guest artists of MexFest.
