"Shamelia Blume and that Fat Bitch" follows Amy, a 13 year old, Glee-obsessed, book-reading, fat, Mississippi, teenage girl as she gets ready for the Little Miss Hog Stomp Pageant. Of which, her unrelenting mother, Darcy, just happens to be a formal winner. As the pressure to take the tiny tiara consumes Amy, she mistakenly summons a fictional book character named Shcamelia Blume who has LOTS of positive-pink-girly energy to erase the overflowing fatphobia and misogyny in this tragic teenage bedroom. Nothing that a little glitter can't fix, right? That is until Amy shows Shcamelia how internalized and systemic these issues really are. The clock is ticking, and we need to crown this year's Little Miss Hog Stomp!
