What Love Did to Us
June 18th at 3:00 PM
It seemed unlikely - no, impossible - for their paths to ever cross again. Or at least, it should've been. Especially after what happened thirteen months ago. Still, on a particularly rainy November night, Maya and Venice bump into each other (or so they think) at a hotel bar in Manhattan. When tensions from their very ill-fated last meeting arise, they are thrust into their old cycle of strangers-to-lovers-to-enemies and forced to relive their past, confront their present and worst of all: decide their future. An unapologetically funny yet remarkably urgent tragicomedy about codependency, What Love Did To Us investigates the impact of trauma on queer relationships and perhaps offers hope to those of us who believe themselves unworthy of love.
TW: Strong language, intimacy, depictions of codependency, allusions to alcoholism, mentions of depression.
