Frances returns to a supermarket in the middle-of-nowhere California to receive a prophecy in Aisle 3 after she received one as a teenager. When she arrives, she finds an army of young women frequently left in charge of the store. Each of girl struggles with the feeling of being watched by different forces: an invisible sinister presence, a crush that skates around the parking lot, an increasing awareness that they are being surveilled by their boss on the video cameras, and the presence of ballerinas -- hidden all over the supermarket. As Frances waits for her prophecy, she reverts to her teenage self and the girls around her transform monstrously. This play is a fantastical daydream -- haunted by gut feelings, ghosts, rage, and posession.
