About the Show
Using full masks, bold physicality and not a single spoken word, The Krumple Theatre Company tells the story of a small provincial church, which finds itself devoid of church-goers. The disillusioned priest battles with himself, God and his pillows as he falls deeper and deeper into an existential crisis. Three nuns unwittingly unleash the power of the internet, and with it their own ambitions and desires. To make matters worse, dinosaurs have appeared on Noah’s Ark and someone is plotting to burn down the church. Ranging from grotesquely comic to poignant, “Go to Sleep, Goddamnit!” explores the question: “What does one do when one's purpose has become obsolete?”

About The Krumple Members
Oda Kirkebø Nyfløtt
Oda is an actress hailing from Førde, Norway, and graduate of l’Ècole Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. In the summer of 2011, she created and performed in a show called Kassettspill with her company Fritidskompaniet, in Oslo. Prior to that she toured the Oppland county in Norway in 2006 with one of her first performances Et Dukketeater (A Doll’s Theater). This performance won the national competition Ibsenstafetten, and her group also played three performances at the National theatre in Oslo. As an actress, she has played in St.Hans-spelet (2006), Peter Pan (2006), The Threepenny Opera (2007) and The Cripple of Inishmore (2011), among others. As a puppeteer, she performed in The Little Prince in Oslo 2009, under the direction of Anne Stray. The following couple of years Oda was also active in the improvisation environment in Oslo, performing with the improvisation companies Teater Liksom and Improminati, whom are now situated at Det Andre Teatret in Oslo. She recently played the main role in the Alice in Wonderland with the French company Les Anthropologues. Additional training includes workshops by Keith Johnstone (Improv), Steve Jarand (Masks) and Jo Strømgren (Physical theatre).
Vincent Vernerie
Vincent is an actor, director, musician and playwright from Paris. In 2011, he wrote and directed Le Roi sans force, ni courage - which he also performed in as a musician. After studying cinema and directing the short film Le Jardin des Imbéciles, he turned to the theater and directed several productions with Compagnie du Déserteur, like La Femme comme champ de bataille by Matei Visniec and L'Homme-Rilke; a creation based on the correspondence between Rilke, Tsvetaïeva and Pasternak. Graduated at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, he pursuits his way as an actor at the same time as he teaches theater classes for youth in the suburbs of Paris. Since 2008 he has also been teaching and leading a theater troupe open to disabled and nondisabled people, with whom he has directed several shows. Vincent is currently touring with in La Passion des Soldats, directed by Xavier Gras, which premiered at the Goethe-Institut in Paris, January 2014.
Jo Even Bjørke
Jo Even is an actor, director and dancer from Trondheim, Norway. After finishing a Foundation Course in Acting (Oslo 2010-2011), Jo Even continued his education at École International de Théâtre Jaques Lecoq (Paris 2011-2013). Before moving to Paris he performed in several productions, including Daniels Jul (Trøndelag Teater 2004), Den Siste Viking (Trøndelag Teater 2007) and Voices from Chernobyl (Schous Kulturstasjon 2011). He has acted in two short films: Bokaj (2007) and Tout vas bien (2012). Notable workshops that he has attended are: Üta Plate (2007), Jo Strømgren (2011) and a workshop in Noh Theatre (2012). In 2007 he achieved the second place in the Norwegian Championship in Theatre Improv together with his company, Layout. Besides acting Jo Even has had some years of training in classical and contemporary dance. He is currently writing and rehearsing for his upcoming production, Gedovrjet.
Jon Levin
Jon is an actor, director and puppeteer from Brooklyn, New York. During spring 2014 he toured with Riksteateret in Norway, then in Iceland with the play SAGA by Wakka Wakka Company. He performed the lead role of Akkai Akkakavich in the UK tour of Gogol’s The Overcoat (2012), in a new adaptation by Le Mot Juste Theatre Company (Buxton Fringe Festival, Camden Fringe Festival, Wilderness Festival, among others). Jon is also the co-founder and co-artistic director of Sinking Ship Productions, a New York based theater company, for which he has directed several award winning productions at the New York International Fringe Festival, including There Will Come Soft Rains (Award for Direction 2008) and Powerhouse (Award for Ensemble 2009). Powerhouse was also presented at The New Ohio Theater in 2014, where it received rave reviews and was a New York Times Critics Pick. Additional credits include puppeteer in Master Peter’s Puppet Show at the Castleton Opera Festival in 2010, 2011. Jon is a graduate of the École Internationale de Théâtre de Jacques Lecoq. Additionally he has been a participant at the Eugene O’Neill Puppetry Conference and has studied with Eric Bass at the Sandglass Summer Puppetry Intensive at the University of Connecticut. Jon has a BA in theater and neuroscience from Oberlin College.
