About The Show

It's hard to believe that two years ago we had our very first FOLKLURE!  When our first ever featured performer, Pam Reyes, played a kazoo solo and was met with a surprise kazoo harmony from fellow feature Simon Glode, we knew we were in for good weather!  It's been a helluva coupla years, with over 30 featured performers, 20+ jams, and countless - COUNTLESS - iterations of "Don't Stop Believing" (thank you Jordan Siwek!).  Makes our hearts flutter to the beat of a million drums and our toes tingle with giddy anticipation!!

This month's FOLKLURE, we're taking to the Square!  TIMES SQUARE!  Grab your guitars and banjos, mandos and ukes; your violas, violins, and what-ever will toot!  Bring something that shakes, and something that rolls, like a bongo or drum or a big ole' flag pole!  We're taking the music up out of our seats and plopping it down onto the streets!  

Join us at 9pm at our sweet little blackbox, The Tank, for CAKE! and BEER! and SHOTS! We'll mosey our music down to the corner of 46th&Broadway at 10pm for a JAM of EPIC CHAOTIC PROPORTIONS!

Born out of the longing for a bygone era of collaboration and new creation, FOLKLURE offers a safe space for artists to share and be heard, where music can be made and rearranged and everyone’s along for the ride!
