Shortly after her parents' deaths, Dorothy has come to the middle of nowhere Kansas to live with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. Lonely and bored, Dorothy is slowly turning sepia, until a cyclone carries her to the mysterious and dangerous Land of Oz.
Based on the novel by L. Frank Baum, this contemporary adaptation follows Dorothy on her journey to meet the Wizard of Oz, and to kill a witch or two. Through her adventures, she must find the courage, heart, and sense to come to terms with her parents' deaths and find her way home.
