Every year, the Danville, OH Lions Club hosts the annual Danville Lions Club Raccoon Dinner, the hugest fundraiser in town. However, it's 2022 and the 79th Annual Raccoon Dinner is on the chopping block due to rising COVID rates, a missing member, #liberalsnowflakes, deficient funds, and a lack of cooperative raccoons. Meanwhile, the Danville, OH Raccoon Club is facing an uproar following dubious election results leading up to the 79th Annual Raccoon Dinner. A satire of young, queer conservatism in small-town Ohio, whiteness, anti-vaxxers, and the American Dream, Untitled Raccoon Play ends where it begins: with six people trapped in their mother's basement, scared shitless.
Featuring Zoe Nebraska Feldman, Daniel Kunkel, Abby Messina, Madeleine Norton, Anne-Marie Pietersma, and Henri Sudy
This is a satire that looks at people saying alt-right things. Characters voice opinions on being white, COVID, liberals, taxes, pro-life, masks, vaccines, Christianity, voter fraud, capitalism, gender, gay marriage, insurrections, Twitter, dated 2010s celebrity culture, and small-town Colt Football League drama.
*Please note that this performance will be presented at the Tank's in-person performance space at 312 W 36th St. All attendees and artists will be required to display proof of full covid vaccination before being admitted to the space, either by showing a vaccination record (vaccination card) at least two weeks out from the final dose of an approved vaccine, or by using New York's free Excelsior Pass service, available here.
