Description
Pulled from the transformations of their own life as a Trans, immigrant artist, McAvoy weaves a lyric filled homage to the shifting selves in each of us and our quest for authentic self expression. The Search- performed solo by McAvoy themself- is a contagiously vulnerable, genre- bending performance that asks the questions: Who do you think you are? And, what do you want to become?
Witness the inner work to recover one’s True Voice in the face of Alcoholism and complex post traumatic stress disorder, throughout a music career and through multiple states of consciousness leading to the eventual emancipation from binary gender constructs, presented by several distinct personality aspects within the protagonist.
