The March

June 20 and 21 at 9:30 PM

2-4-6-8 HOW DO YOU KNOW THE KIDS ARE STRAIGHT? The March is part play, part interactive theater experience, based on the true stories of the Lesbian Avengers and the events leading up to the inaugural Dyke March at the ‘93 LGBTQ March on Washington.

Deborah Edel, co-founder of the Lesbian Herstory Archives, believes that “saving, preserving, and uncovering our history is a political act”. In a joyful and humorous celebration of visibility and queer/lesbian women’s unique - and often erased - roles in the post-Stonewall liberation movement, The March shows how the personal becomes the political, and invites the audience to witness the power of collective action.

With many thanks to the Lesbian Herstory Archives, Lesbian Avengers, and Dyke March NYC
