The Fifth Vital Sign immerses audiences in a collection of experiences exploring the crisis; from children coping with their recovering mother, to parents mourning their late daughter, a couple arguing over solutions to chronic pain, a mother who gave everything to help her son attempt recovery, and a rhythmic piece delving into the historical aspects of pain and how we, as a society, cope with it.
