THE BEARS

August 6th @ 9:30 PM

Masks Strongly Recommended

Written by Jen Jarnagin; Directed by Abbey Joan Burgess

The Bear Family is known for two things: they never take off their bear suits, and they’re even wilder beneath the fur. When Emmy returns home to Tennessee to protect their grandmother from a predatory Bear, Emmy must confront a long history of abuse, their own complicity in a never ending cycle of trauma, and a conniving nemesis who always seems bearly beyond Emmy’s reach.

Cast includes: Marina Barry (she/her)*, Scott Barton (he/him), Jen Jarnagin (they/them), Marx Jones (they/them), Chance Kester (he/him), Jake Moses (he/him), Marie Elena O'Brien (she/her)*, and Joan Milburn (she/her).

Content Warnings: Substance abuse disorder, discussions of suicide, mental illness, lobotomies, mommy issues.

The company of disposable bodies aims to provide opportunities for disabled and immunocompromised members of the community to be more safely welcomed at the theater. We ask that you please wear a mask to help protect you, those around you, and the company. If you do not have a mask, one can be provided by any member of the theater staff.
