In this series, performers, playwrights, and designers are given the opportunity to create and display works in their early stages, allowing for new growth and a more developed image of the final production. For our first year, we have chosen to highlight the works of Daniel Pascale (playwright, producer, actor) and his play Innocents, and Ariel Leigh (playwright, Director, production manager, lighting designer) for her play With/Out Them.
Innocents: In a semi-absurdist and timeless setting, the play satirizes the lengths to which we will go to save a marriage and to reclaim the true and utter sovereignty of childhood.
With/Out Them: Untamed and untethered by psychological barriers, Mel, a millennial, discovers the dark and comedic layers that lie between success, happiness, and an audience of peers.
