Godot meets Marvel in this universe not unlike our own, where Earth is in flux and the battle rages between good and evil, immigration and First Nations, and the inexorable problems of shared history. Who owns the narrative if truth is subjective? Spiderman and Hamlet— and by opposing, mend them.
Australian writer Kurt Phelan makes his US premiere with this work inspired by his immigration interrogation, combined with his devised movement and speech works as seen from Sydney Opera House to World Pride 2021 in Copenhagen.
Directed by Daniel Pettrow. Featuring Chris Ryan, Desiree Clarke Slaughter, Jordan Ho, David Barlow and Hunter Canning. In one act with a running time of 85 minutes, the piece of magic realism contains depictions of violence, conversations of race and occasional language.
Come be a part of the first exploration of a new work meant to leap off the page.
