Four adult sisters can’t agree on anything. Did mom make sweet potatoes with marshmallows or thyme? What did Grandma’s face look like? Didn't we have a brother once? Wasn't his name Samuel? SAMUEL – a new audio-visual experience for the theatre – invites audience members to listen to audio scenes on their own devices as they explore an unnerving visual world of collective loss, existential fear, and the everyday trauma of family relationships. Fashioned after a self-guided audio museum tour, each observer will allow the immersive soundscape in their ears to guide their journey as the sisters struggle to maintain their connections to themselves, each other, and an ever-shifting sense of reality.

There are two ways to experience Samuel:
-In-person, as part of an intimate immersive experience at The Tank (312 W 36th St Floor 1, New York NY 10018) via timed entry for folks who can provide proof of a qualifying covid vaccination.
-Anytime, anywhere via the online-only version of the experience, accessible here. Buy now and a link will be sent the week of July 19.

For the in-person version of the show, entrance times will be strictly enforced and there will be no late admittance or refunds. All guests are required to bring proof of covid vaccination and will be required to wear masks during the full duration of the show. You will move through the experience in a pod of up to three people, in relatively close proximity. For portions of the experience, your pod will share a larger space with up to two additional pods of three. Want a pod to yourself (or with two friends of your choosing)? Click here.

In-person tickets are $25 online, $35 at the door. Audio-only tickets are $15.

*Content Warning* Please note that Samuel covers the topics of death and grief, alcoholism, and references to child abuse.
