Ragweeds, a The Last of Us-style pre-apocalyptic end-of-the-world play focuses on the emotional journey of Hazel, a young doomsday prepper who has been raised by a single father all alone in a bunker. After his sudden death at the hooves of an elusive and mystical golden stag, they grapple with the desperate desire for vengeance and for closure for the relationship they never got to have with him. This leads her to collide with Ivy, a Yale-PhD student studying Cryptozoology, who is hunting Mothman in the Appalachians for their dissertation. Through the companionship of one another, they battle the idea that either has to become known in history for who they are in order to find validation in having lived their lives, or if they can settle for just being happy with who they are now and who they are meant to be.
