Pageant Girls
Tuesday, August 19th
Diane wants beauty. Tammy wants validation. Nina wants love. And Constance wants to be free from her religious constraints. Each of the contestants entered the competition in hopes that winning could give them what they’re looking for, but over the course of the competition, the finalists’ reasons for competing come to a head.
In increasingly desperate attempts to win, the contestants go to new heights trying to sabotage the others’ chances. A wardrobe malfunction, a can of spray paint, a forged love letter, and a tampered-with Bible threaten to throw the competition off the tracks.
Will the women tear each other down, or will they learn to decenter masculinity and destroy the competition from the inside?
