"Follow the flame, start being born..." J moves back through time to find her younger self, L, frozen in grief over the recent death of her father. While in mourning, L’s grief is sexualized by men, echoing an inner conflict: “am I meant to be frozen?” As J dances with the memory of a time since past, she encourages L’s journey from the frozen towards the flame: from loss into love, and from what grieving ‘ought to look like’ into an ownership which transforms the body and the soul.
