Carving, Etching, Scoring follows a tortured writer named Buddy as he copes with a fresh heartbreak, nightmares that feel more like childhood memories, and his friends' ugly divorce. Worst of all, he has writer's block.

Buddy thinks. Buddy ponders. Buddy wonders if he can write a happy ending for a tortured writer, a troubled housewife, and a tactless husband.
