Andy the Giant! Live! One Night Only! Plays All the Hits and Several Songs Only He Likes!
September 1 at 7:00 PM
Join playwright, songwriter, and cartoonist Andy Boyd for an evening of funny and touching songs reminiscent of Daniel Johnston or the Moldy Peaches. Topics to be covered include classical mythology, true love, suicidal ideation, and Coca-Cola. Andy will perform songs from several in-process works of musical theatre, as well as from his music project Andy the Giant. Andy was last seen at The Tank as part of the CyberTank variety show.
Please note that this performance mentions suicide, depression, and mass murder in the context of a humorous song about The Odyssey.
*Please note that this performance will be presented at the Tank's in-person performance space at 312 W 36th St. All attendees and artists will be required to display proof of full covid vaccination before being admitted to the space, either by showing a vaccination record (vaccination card) at least two weeks out from the final dose of an approved vaccine, or by using New York's free Excelsior Pass service, available here. Patrons will also be required to wear masks while indoors at all times and for the time being, no food or beverage will be permitted to be consumed at the theater.
