By the end of the summer, Richard III is crowned and the boys are never seen again. A comedic, playfully anachronistic, unsettling exploration of childhood during perpetual war, this play traces the 15th century through modern America, imagining the princes' final months as they fight, play, and await coronation or execution. "if i live" returns to NYC fresh off a 4-star-reviewed run at Edinburgh Fringe, and a sold-out preview at the Chain Theatre.

In an attempt to find answers about what exactly made the late, great River Phoenix so compelling onscreen, Sarah Jae Leiber sat down with her voice memos, watched Running on Empty (1988), and recorded herself MST3K-style. The result was this frenetic short, told and embodied in three distinct voices.
