"Terezin: Children of the Holocaust," crafted by playwright, educator, and humanitarian Anna Smulowitz, portrays a day in the lives of six children imprisoned in Camp Theresienstadt in the Czech Republic. This impactful play, has continuously toured schools, colleges, churches, synagogues, and theaters across the United States and globally, including off-Broadway, the Fringe Festival in Scotland, Cuba, Panama, Germany, as well as at the Terezin concentration camp in the Czech Republic and at Auschwitz in Poland. For more 50 years, it has resonated with audiences of all ages, religions and nationalities, fostering awareness about the enduring consequences of hate and discrimination. Beyond its historical context, Terezin emphasizes the vital role of individual voices in confronting hate, it inspires social responsibility, and celebrates the inherent childhood capacity for hope. Terezin is dedicated to fighting racism, antisemitism, discrimination, and intolerance in all its forms through education and the arts.
