Dream A Little Dream

  • The Tank 312 W 36th St New York, NY, 10018 United States (map)

July 20, 21, and 23 at 7pm

July 24 at 2pm

Kay Kemp’s Dream a Little Dream of Me explores the complicated, wry, and messy relationship between Colleen and Priscilla, a daughter and mother. Tensions rise as Colleen is forced to take care of her ailing mother and as the memories – and people – of the past, the present, and the play itself are no longer what the duo recalls. As a play, Dream a Little Dream of Me engages with intergenerational memory and trauma, and it is a work that asks the audience to ponder: Who would we be without our trauma? What is the difference between one’s love for someone and one’s obligation to someone? What would truly happen if your dreams become your reality?

*Please note that this performance will be presented at the Tank's in-person performance space at 312 W 36th St. All attendees and artists will be required to display proof of full covid vaccination before being admitted to the space, either by showing a vaccination record (vaccination card) at least two weeks out from the final dose of an approved vaccine, or by using New York's free Excelsior Pass service, available here.
