The Magdalenes (Lime Fest)

'The Magdalenes' follows Lily, who has experienced an immaculate conception, as she begins her first year at the Society of Magdalena, an institution for bodies who have been touched by God.

Please note that this performance will be presented at the Tank's in-person performance space at 312 W 36th St, Floor 1. All attendees and artists will be required to display proof of full covid vaccination before being admitted to the space, either by showing a vaccination record (vaccination card) at least two weeks out from the final dose of an approved vaccine, or by using New York's free Excelsior Pass service, available here. Patrons will also be required to wear masks while indoors at all times and for the time being, no food or beverage will be permitted to be consumed at the theater.

Joey Donnelly (Director) Directorial credits: Ionesco’s Salutations, BardCore (A.R.T./Oberon), Celebration, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (upcoming). KATE MCMORRAN

Kate McMorran (Ruth) is a writer and actor who spends her time exploring ways to dismantle gender roles. Her play Chopstick won the Judges Choice Award at the Playbill Virtual Theatre Festival in October 2020, and her short plays Love Child, The Registry, and In Character have been produced in NYC. She can usually be found reading at least three books at once and lives in Astoria, New York. Katemcmorran.com


KELLY HEYER

Kelley Heyer (Sarah/Amanda) is overwhelmed to be acting in person again! Born and raised in Honolulu, HI, Kelley lives and works as an actor in NYC. She is bright, hard working, competitive, and passionate. Recent credits include The Garden by Jesse B Koehler at Soho Playhouse, and a PRIDE commercial for Facebook. Kelley's quarantine hobbies include roller skating, bread baking, cake decorating, embroidery, and Dungeons and Dragons.


MAYA JENNINGS

Maya Jennings (Rebecca/Girl) is a New York City based actor originally from Kailua, Hawai'i. She graduated from Hofstra University with a BFA in Theatre Performance. Some favorite credits include 4.48 Psychosis, Hamlet and History Extravaganza V. 


MILO LONGENECKER

Milo Longenecker (David) is an actor, musician, movement artist, and co-founder of Bushwick’s queer theater company @sacredcircletheatre. Recent credits include Haimon in Antigonick (Torn Out Theater), Wickham in Pride + Prejudice (SheNYC), and Mars in Janelle Lawrence’s Wet (Dramatists Guild). When not performing, he offers donation-based yoga classes to the queer/trans community at @icmyoga. @milo_longenecker on all platforms.


RACHEL TOWNE

Rachel Towne (Amelia) is an actor and teaching artist, currently studying at NYU Grad Acting.  Credits include: Romeo and Juliet (Smith Street); Brave Smiles....Another Lesbian Tragedy (Pride Plays);  Merchant of Venice (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey); A Midsummer Night’s Dream & To Kill a Mockingbird (Syracuse Stage); Comedy of Errors, Hamlet, Richard III, and Twelfth Night (Allentown Shakespeare); and The Grey Boy (Dixon Place). TV/Film: Law and Order SVU (S21E1).  Rachel also teaches phonetics and dialects to fellow actors. 


LARA NOTARIANNI

Lara Notarianni (Hannah) is a Brooklyn based actor and maker. She graduated from DeSales University and has worked with Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and People's Light Theatre Co., among others. laranotarianni.com


KAMILA ZANDO

Kamila Zando (Assistant Director) is so honored to be Stage Managing/Assistant Directing in Lime Fest! She loves to work on ooky-spooky out-of-the-ordinary plays, so working on The Magdalenes has been so exciting and fulfilling for her. Kamila has her Bachelors from Wagner College where she studied Theatre Performance and worked on shows like Celebration, American Idiot, Halloween Cabarets, Toil and Trouble: Shakespear's Spookiest Works. DOVE MURAY

Dove Muray (Lily) is a Brooklyn-based performer, teaching artist, and culinary mushroom farmer. After receiving a B.F.A. in theatre from NYU, they have spent their time acting, dancing, teaching, and farming all over NYC. Dove has a passion for experimental theatre and movement, and firmly positions her love for theater next to her belief in community building and mutual aid.


EVIE

STAGE DIRECTIONS

Evie (stage directions) is a playwright and dramaturg, though they are probably best remembered for their roles as “Barista” at a coffee shop in Midtown, and “Server” at a restaurant in the East Village. They are the recipient of no awards, but they do look like the type of person who could possibly win an award one day. They are currently an MFA Playwriting Candidate at Columbia University.

SAMI PYNE

PRODUCER

Sami Pyne (producer) is an independent producer based in New York City. She is currently the Line Producer for 600 Highwaymen’s A THOUSAND WAYS and Production Manager for Jersey City Theatre Center’s 2021 Voices Festival. Most recent producing credits include Capricorn 29 created by Alex Hare and Julia Izumi at The Tank, Kyk Hoe Skyn die Son created by Keenan Tyler Oliphant at Clubbed Thumb, Columbia SOA International Play Reading Festival curated by David Henry Hwang, and 2020 & 2019’s Prelude Festival at The Martin E.
