CHEATING DEATH is a 60 min solo show - written and performed by New York City magician Nelson Lugo. It's a moving personal examination of one magician's life - or more specifically - his many close brushes with death. The raw vulnerability in Nelson’s stories is heightened by the wonder, intimacy, and sometimes danger of his classic parlour style magic. The result is a tearfully joyful celebration of life and all of its varied deaths.

CHEATING DEATH reminds those of us on this side of the dirt that learning to find happiness, not in spite of but because of sadness, is the most powerful magic we can create.

This show contains adult language and adult content which may not be suitable for younger audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.

PLEASE NOTE Due to the experimental nature of the piece - this will be a Staged Reading of a work-in-progress performance
