Over the course of two weeks, The Tank is opening the floor to a wide variety of performances and discussions surrounding the topics of gender, sexuality and equality. The works presented will evoke and give way to new ideas and perceptions on how we define ourselves, within our own community and in the global community at large. Whether through unity or discordance, this work will shed light on the rich, dynamic individuals and groups who make up the vibrant LGBT+ community.
The horrific events in Orlando are something that has deeply affected our community and we want to acknowledge this by providing a safe and communal space for discussion and sharing, as part of our PrideFest activities.
This Open Forum will be an opportunity to come together to share thoughts, responses, and anything else you desire, in response to the Orlando shooting. This is for artist and non artist alike and response can take whatever shape we feel we need to share. Share a story, a song, a poem, pose a question or simply tell us how you're feeling.
The event will be free but donations are encouraged. All proceeds will be given to GLAAD and the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.
