I am in my final month of living the age of 24...is my life over? 

When I ask friends who are above the age of thirty this question, bark with phrases like "your life is ahead of you" or "you have so much time." 

These words of wisdom are no vaccination for my ritualistic night terrors. Weekly, I dream that I am standing in complete stillness. Unfortunately, I am not standing still because of some new mindful healing exercise. No, I am still because I am living inside the circumstances of the future big freeze. My eyes and consciousness are wide awake as we watch ice encapsulate my body. And if this dream is accurate by any means, when the freeze does arrive, we won’t ever endure everlasting sleep. Unfortunately for some, only screaming can awaken me from my Jungian refrigerator of generalized anxiety. 

Is what lies ahead of my fellow 20 somethings and I a divine doomsday? 

And somehow, during my hourly daydreams, I often wonder, is this pandemic a silver lining? Can a generation build a new world?
