What?
Curated by Tank Resident Director and artist Ran Xia, the first annual Breathless Fest celebrates new works performed without a single spoken word. In post-pandemic fashion, we want to exercise your creative muscles but minimize the amount of droplets in the air.
So come one come all, movers, shakers, artists who want to express themselves without the limits of speech: we welcome you, butterflies, snails, clams, and man o'wars.
We'll be curating one indoor edition as well as one in the open air, so we challenge you to submit works that take full advantage of our tech capacity, as well as works that could thrive in public spaces like a park. We are seeking proposals in the following disciplines but not limited to: mime, silent comedy, installations, dance, music, puppetry, acrobatics, film, and more.
