Celebrated Sinner

About the Show:

In this semi-autobiographical piece Ilov Grate shares her experiences growing up Catholic in the South Carolina and being made to feel shame for being a 'fresh little girl'. The disconnect from her sexuality eventually led to her rejection of spirituality and a craving for a tribe of likeminded people. Through storytelling, poetry and improvised dance, Ilov reveals her journey from being a 'sinner' to becoming celebrated as a practitioner and teacher of sensual movement and how she found God in herself by honoring her truth.
