At the height of the great recession, in a defunct housing development, Leland Price is in crisis. A plague of tires rise from the earth, destroying any hope of value left to his property. Leland can only blame, pray, and keep on keeping on. His son, Paul, broke and exhausted, passes through on his way from New York to California to cash in on a priceless gun and his father's favor. The two settle in for the opening of wounds as they test each other's love with their extreme ideas and dangerous beliefs.
